About Jamila Wellness LLC
Jamila Wellness LLC was a growing idea that began in 2006. While providing services to adolescents and women, the founder of JW, Cinnamon Key, recognized several needs. Although she directed these clients to service agencies for years, they continued to return to her for assistance. They desired her approach to helping them navigate their difficulties in life. So, on March 1, 2014, Ms. Key launched Jamila Wellness LLC to do just that.
About our Name
Jamila is of Arabic origin and means "beautiful" in shape (outside) and in behavior (inside). Wellness is defined as "the quality or state of being healthy in body and mind, especially as the result of deliberate effort". When we put the two words together, Jamila Wellness promotes beautiful health holistically.
About our Colors
The color purple relates to the imagination and spirituality and allows us to get in touch with our deepest thoughts. Purple contains the color red (energy and strength) and the color blue (spirituality and integrity). This hue symbolizes the union of body and soul, which creates a balance between our physical and spiritual energies. Purple assists those seeking the meaning of life and spiritual fulfillment. It expands our horizon and connects us to a higher level of consciousness. From a color psychology perspective, purple ensures harmony of the mind and the emotions and contributes to mental balance and stability, peace of mind, a connection between the spiritual and physical world, and between thought and action.
The color silver relates to illumination and reflection. It is soothing, calming and purifying. From a color psychology viewpoint, it signals a time of reflection and a change of direction as it illuminates the way forward. It helps with the cleansing and releasing of mental, physical and emotional issues and blockages as it opens new doors and lights the way to the future. Silver restores equilibrium and stability to both feminine power and spiritual energy. It protects itself from outside negativity, reflecting the energy back to where it began. The color silver has similar energy to gray but it is more light-hearted and optimistic.
About our Symbol
The bird of paradise flower has come to symbolize many things. To some, it is a symbol of freedom and joy. To others it is the emblem for paradise itself, while other people feel that it is the perfect representation of a good and clear perspective on life. When all those meanings are taken in concert, this symbol is appropriate for Jamila Wellness: Living beautifully through joyful clarity and well-being – that’s paradise.
